How Transaction Fees Are Calculated
Transaction fees are based on the pricing outlined in the Exhibit B. In this case, please review the most recently signed Final Exhibit B.
First, the following formula calculates the costs for each individual debit transaction.
(Per Debit Fee x Total # of Debits) + (Total $ Amount of Debits x Discount Rate %) = Total Fee
The following formula calculates the costs for each individual credit transaction.
Pre-Credit Fee x Total # of Credits = Total Fee
For merchants on a Rolling Reserve, this formula calculates the amount of reserve taken.
Total $ Amount of Debits x Rolling Reserve % = Total Rolling Reserve
Important: Fees and Reserves are taken out of the payouts.
The Actum Portal provides specific, itemized breakdowns of transaction fees during a specific time. To view this information, please follow these steps. Alternative, the Merchant Receipt provides similar information as explained in this entry.
Merchant Statement
1. Log in to the Actum Portal at https://merchant.actumprocessing.com. Refer to the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): How to Use via Actum Portal article for further login instructions.
2. On the left side menu, select Features and Procedures and choose Monthly Statement.
3. Select a desired month from the Date Range by choosing the first date of a month and click on Submit.
4. The selected Monthly Merchant Statement populates, itemizing the fees categorically with a performance summary of the return ratios. For information about compliant return ratios, refer to the Return Report.
